It all started in Seattle

Strange in Nature Studio was founded in September of 2019. The studio grew out of the personal practice of Krista O'Halpin, who, after completing her undergrad from SCAD, was unable to find her place in the corporate landscape of the city. So, using her own form of artistic expression that was then freed from the expectations of others, she started this journey to share contemporary art, techniques, and designs with whatever audience fits her in a more accessible way.

Krista also partners with her husband who helps put pieces together, works the sewing machine and fosters her creativity in a way that's unmatched.
