Purple Sage - UV Reactive Textured Painting

This sage is painted with textured acrylic on an 8" x 8" x 8" equilateral triangle. 
You can touch, but don't eat!

This piece is part of a series of textured paintings in which I experimented with texture to create different Pacific Northwest flowers. The particular flower of this piece was a purple sage. There is also a layer of UV-reactive paint over the tops of the flowers so that they glow in the dark! I sealed the painting with a glossy varnish to ensure longevity. The colors do not fade, and the painting is ready to be discovered in both day and night forms!
